Synopsis
A driven car salesman returns to his hometown after learning his estranged father has died and discovers an older brother, Raymond — a brilliant but institutionalized savant — and that their father's $3 million estate has been left to the care facility. Hoping to secure a share of the inheritance, he removes Raymond from the institution and takes him back to Los Angeles; the long road trip they undertake forces them to confront buried wounds and ultimately reshapes their lives and relationship.
