Synopsis

Glendon Wasey is a fortune-seeker desperate for a quick way out of China, while Gloria Tatlock, a missionary nurse, is convinced opium holds the key to relieving her patients. Their lives intersect, plunging them into a breathless, exotic hunt to recover stolen narcotics—and as danger mounts, a fragile attraction grows between them.
