Synopsis

On the eve of Caroline’s marriage to Sir Ralph, she asks her sister Barbara to stand by her as bridesmaid. Barbara, however, captivates Ralph and slips into the role of Lady, inheriting comfort and status. Unfulfilled by affluence, she seeks danger and turns to waylaying travelers for the thrill of it. While on the road she encounters a notorious highwayman, and the two form a bold alliance.
