Synopsis
A young solicitor named Arthur Kipps is sent to a secluded village to put in order the affairs of a recently dead client. While confined to the client's lonely house, he uncovers sorrowful secrets and grows increasingly disturbed by fleeting sightings of a pale woman clad in black. With the villagers giving him nothing but evasive silence, Kipps is forced to piece together her story on his own, plunging into a desperate race to confront the truth before it’s too late.
