Synopsis

Severely wounded in the North African campaign during World War II, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg returns to Germany and is drawn into a clandestine resistance network plotting to set up a provisional government and eliminate Adolf Hitler. As the conspiracy tightens around him, von Stauffenberg is thrust into a leading role and must shoulder the responsibility of both directing the coup and carrying out the assassination himself.
