Synopsis
Barry, a brooding corporate executive, feels trapped in a marriage to Mary, an aspiring novelist who grows increasingly disillusioned with their life together. Craving excitement, Mary falls into a clandestine relationship with Jerry, a self-satisfied theater professor who is married to her friend Terri, also a writer. At the same time Cary, a detached physician, and Cheri, an art-gallery assistant, ignite their own reckless affair.
