Synopsis

By 2071, roughly half a century after a hyperspace-gateway disaster left Earth barely habitable, humanity has pushed out to settle most of the rocky planets and moons across the Solar System. With lawlessness on the rise, the Inter Solar System Police establish a formal contracting program: licensed hunters-for-hire—commonly called "Cowboys"—are authorized to track down fugitives and return them alive in exchange for payment.
