Synopsis

As a child, Keitaro and his first love promised they'd both be accepted to the prestigious Todai University and meet there—until she left his life. Ten years later he’s a dreamy, frustrated artist who performed disastrously on the national practice exam, ranking twenty-seventh from the bottom. When his grandmother vacates the all-girls dorm she ran, Keitaro reluctantly takes over as resident manager and soon finds himself face-to-face with two Todai applicants who might be the girl from his past—whose name, embarrassingly, he can no longer recall. The dorm turns out to be anything but quiet. Shinobu, a vulnerable young woman, once stood on the brink of despair until Keitaro intervened; Motoko is a stern swordmaster who views men as mere distractions; Su Kaolo is a brilliant child inventor; and the sly Kitsune delights in mischief. Tasked with keeping the household together while chasing a broken promise and a forgotten memory, Keitaro’s life becomes a chaotic mixture of romance, rivalry, and unexpected responsibility.
