Is the movie Idiocracy available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?
At Stream Tracker, we keep an eye on where cult movies turn up so you don't have to. Idiocracy (2006), Mike Judge’s blunt satire about a top-secret human hibernation experiment gone wrong, drops two "average" Americans into the year 2505 to find a society so dumbed-down that they’re suddenly the smartest people in the room. Think Pentagon programs, hibernation pods, and a world hooked on Brawndo — it’s equal parts absurdist sci-fi and social lampoon. The film didn’t collect major industry awards, but it has grown into a cult touchstone for its bleakly funny take on pop culture and consumerism. If you’re wondering whether Idiocracy is streaming on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, or Apple TV+, Stream Tracker can tell you which platform currently hosts the chaos — and where to watch that "it’s got electrolytes" world next.
Synopsis
Chosen as guinea pigs for a classified human hibernation experiment, two strikingly ordinary Americans — a low-ranking Army private and a prostitute — are, after a chain of bizarre mishaps, catapulted into the year 2505. They wake into a future where society has been gutted of critical thinking, leaving them unexpectedly among the most intelligent people alive.
