Inescapable

Synopsis

On a nostalgic weekend back at their old college in Oregon, two couples — Susan and Jessie, and Beth and Chloe — reunite, only to discover their relationships feel increasingly misaligned. Susan has flown up with her partner Jessie to attend a reunion where Beth, Susan’s former roommate, rekindles old closeness; Jessie’s insecurity soon gives way to an unexpected, electric attraction to Beth’s girlfriend Chloe. Their chemistry is immediate and mutual, and when Jessie and Chloe find themselves alone, impulse wins out over restraint, setting off a series of awkward, funny and emotionally charged moments. A drama with a light touch, the film explores desire, jealousy and self-discovery with a wink rather than solemnity.
