Synopsis
In ninth-century China, ten-year-old Nie Yinniang is taken from her family by a reclusive nun who trains her in lethal fighting arts, shaping her into a precise assassin tasked with eliminating brutal, corrupt officials. After a mission goes wrong, her mentor sends her back to her native land with a final command: to kill the cousin she was once promised to, now the commander of the largest military region in North China. Thirteen years into exile, she must face her parents, the life she left behind, and the long-buried feelings that resurface with her return.
